Liam Kelly Memorial Music Scholarship

Liam Kelly was a lifelong multi-instrumentalist and lover of music. He was self-taught on piano and guitar from an early age, and later went on to study saxophone, among other instruments, throughout his years in school. He played in many bands over the years, and taught music lessons -- both privately, and at Loria Music in Rahway. Liam received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Kean University in 2015, and worked as a music teacher at Perth Amboy High School until 2023.

Liam passed away on December 21, 2023 at 33 years old. To honor his memory, and to keep his love for music alive, his family is starting an annual scholarship for a graduating senior at Liam's alma mater, Colonia High School. Each spring, a student will be chosen by the music teacher for demonstrating exceptional skill in and dedication to music.

In lieu of flowers, his family is asking for donations to start this scholarship fund. Thank you for considering a contribution to this cause, and to Liam's memory.
