Liam Brown’s Battle

Donation protected
On July 17, 2017 life as Linda and Bruce knew it changed. Their biggest fear as parents came true finding out that their son Liam had cancer. Liam is suffering with Ewings Sarcoma.  From July 17, 2017 to May 10, 2018 Liam had the following surgeries: -Abdominal tumor resection -Lung resection -Port placement  -Port removal -Two Hickman placements -Two Hickman removals Liam has received 31 days of radiation to his lungs and abdomen and was actively on chemo from August 2017 - April 2018. The Browns spent over 200 days including all holidays in the hospital. Liam had the following Chemo: -Vincristine -Doxorubicin -Cyclophosphamide -Ifosfamide -Eoposide The doctors gave Liam a 30-50% 5 year survival rate. On May 10TH, 2018 Liam was declared in remission.  On August 21, 2018 Liam Had relapsed. This dropped his survival rate to 10-18%. Since his relapse Liam has had the following surgeries: -Biopsy -G-Tube Placement -Port placement -Bowel Obstruction Liam received the following Chemo September 2018- May 2019: -Irinotecan -Temozoiomide -Pevoneaistat Liams cancer came back as stable each scan until progression was found in May 2019. June of 2019 a Biopsy was done and he spent the month recovering. Liam received Cyclophosphamide/Topotecan from July 8, 2019 to July 12, 2019. Following this Chemo was a recovery time of 29 days with 9 being hospitalized. Liam started Pazapnib (an oral Chemo) at home August 6th, 2019. After six weeks the scans showed rapid growth to all sites. Following a Care Conference with Liams doctors he will start oral etopside at home and three weeks of radiation in October 2019. At this point according to his team of doctors, there is no curative options. There is only maximizing his time at home and keeping him comfortable. Also hoping to keep him stable while we wait for something promising to come along.  Liam's Make A Wish trip was originally planned for December 2019 but has been moved up to September 24, 2019 in hopes that he will be able to enjoy the trip as much as possible. Liam is in almost constant pain and cannot stand or walk for long periods of time as the two major tumors are in his abdomen and pelvic area measuring 5-6cm each. He also has small tumors in his lungs. Linda and Bruce are both devastated. The hope is to raise money to help pay off some of the financial hit they have suffered with limited income and at the same time give them financial relief to spend as much time with their son as possible.  No family should ever have to go through what this family is going through. No child should ever have to deal with the pain that Liam has.
