Hello, my name is Cole.

Wakefield has been left in total shock by the heartbreaking passing of Liam Gallivan on the 12th of December 2025, aged just 20 years old. Liam was one of many proud young Wakefield Trinity supporters, and someone who meant the world to those who knew him.

I owe a lot to Liam. We met in high school and instantly connected, sharing the same passion for rugby and proudly supporting the same club the ♥️ army. As if that wasn’t enough, we also supported the same football team, Liverpool ♥️♥️. Those shared passions made our friendship incredibly special throughout our teenage years.

As we grew up, some of our best memories were standing in the North Stand, chanting songs alongside our dads, united by our love for rugby. Me and Liam understood each other in a way that only true friends do. He was a respectful, polite, and genuinely caring young man who left a lasting impression on everyone around him.

I am trying to raise funds to help take some of the pressure off Liam’s Mum and Dad during this devastating time. Like many young people, Liam didn’t have life insurance.. something no one expects to need at such a young age. My hope is to help give Liam the send off he truly deserves and to support his family in any way possible.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world and will go a long way in honouring a truly special young man.
