This is our nephew Liam.

Liam’s older brother attended a school field trip where he contracted a very harmful strain of E. Coli that can lead to kidney failure, and a multitude of other complications.

While his older brother has finally recovered and was discharged from the hospital, shortly after little Liam tested positive.

After spending days in the hospital Liam has only progressively gotten worse and has now developed HUS from this E. Coli infection. His kidney functions are very poor and he has now been transferred to Vanderbilt and is awaiting a blood transfusion and most likely will need dialysis.

This has taken a huge toll on my brother and sister in law - mentally, emotionally and financially - and unfortunately their journey is just beginning.

We ask that everyone please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, specifically little Liam.
