On September 28, 2025, tragedy struck when a devastating barn fire took the lives of four beloved horses belonging to Karlie Bosley and her fiancé, Zac Virtz. These horses weren’t just animals — they were family, companions, and a huge part of their daily lives. Losing them so suddenly and tragically has left their hearts shattered and their world turned upside down.
We’ve created this fundraiser to help Karlie and Zac during this heartbreaking time. The funds raised will go toward easing the financial burden caused by the fire, helping them rebuild, and supporting them as they grieve the loss of their cherished horses.
No amount can replace what they’ve lost, but with your kindness and generosity, we can help them take steps toward healing. Every donation, share, and prayer means more than words can express.
Karlie's words
"I lost everything today. I lost my dreams. I lost everything I’ve spent my life dreaming to have. But most importantly we lost the 4 greatest horses i have ever known. The only 4 horses that did not and would never have a price tag. They were my everything. I am not okay. I am never going to be okay
Liam, you were absolutely my everything. You were my heart horse. And i was your person. I never thought i would ever get the chance to own a horse of your caliber. You never let me down ever. You made my dreams come true. You were so talented. Everyone loved you everywhere we would go. I do not know how to go on without you. You were everything to me. You were my happy place. My shoulder to cry on
Archie, my first born baby. You were everything i had ever dreamed of you to be. You are the most beautiful horse I’ve ever seen. When i bred your momma, i dreamed of a roan colt with a white blaze and two back socks, and there you were. Everything i had ever dreamed of. I was so proud of you. You were the first horse i broke to ride. You were so safe and my go to ride. You were supposed to be emmies first horse. You were everything to me
Millie, my sweetest baby girl. You were going to be my rockstar. You had the kindest heart and the world was waiting for you. I was so extremely proud of you and your talent. I was waiting to be able to put that first ride on you until after i was healed postpartum. I can just dream of what it would have felt like to be on your back. You were going to set the world on fire.
Gator, oh Gator. You were Zac’s everything. We were your people. We were your only people. You were the only horse that zac would not take ANY amount of money for. You were so talented. You were there to catch any loose cow, you would ride through anything. I told everyone that you would walk through fire, and god i wish you could have today.
I will never understand why god needed them more then we did. All 4 of them are truly irreplaceable. I am broken. My heart is shaddered in a million pieces and i am praying to god that this is all a nightmare. I pray to god that they are running the fields of heaven waiting for us when we get there.
I love you so much Liam, Archie, Millie, and Gator. I wish there was something i could have done. I would do anything to have saved you. I would have given everything i have to save you. 3 horses made it out, just not our babies, it was too late."
Thank you for standing beside them in their time of need and showing that love, community, and compassion can help carry them through even the darkest days.
