Kate and Jack's Africa Trip

Story

My name is Katelyn Fulton. Anyone who knows me for more than five minutes knows I have a deep passion and love for Africa. My mom would say that even when I was very tiny, I was drawn to African people and have always had a love for them and their culture. It has been a dream, and only a dream for the last 26 years.  I've always thought that I had to go with a  church team, but the opportunity never arose. I finally stopped putting my dreams in other people's hands and took it to be my own. I am trusting the Lord to provide not only the finances in order for me to go, but also the perfect timing- seeing that I am a stay at home mom and wife.  I am taking my Dad, Jack Witt along with me to share in my dream, but throughout the planning it has become both of our dream.  We are going to a rural area in Kenya near the Ugandan boarder, and serving alongside R.O.C.K. ministries. They are a non-profit that helps educate and rehabilitate the abandoned and orphaned children of Kenya. Here is what we plan on doing with the funds raised and our timeline so far: we would love to go Summer of 2016 for 12-14 days.  The funds would go to flights (myself and my son to California to drop him off, then my dad and I to Africa), food, travel expenses, passport, vaccinations, luggage, and all other unseen expenses. I would also love to bless the ministry with some money as well, so exceeding the goal would be amazing! R.O.C.K. Ministries has bought land and currently has 3 buildings complete and plans for 19 more. Ther are also in need of a truck/van. So that is where you come in. Obviously this is a big task, and we need your help! Please give whatever the Lord is asking you to give. If that is $5 it will help! I will also be posting updates and keeping you all in the loop with what the Lord is doing in this journey. So this is it! I am beyond excited that the Lord has given my dream back and that I know He has a plan for me and my Dad with His people in Kenya!! Thanks so much!
