Lawndale High School - Class of 1974-50th Reunion!

Hello Cardinals & Friends! It's been 50 years since the endearingly bitchen (let's revive that classic slang word!) class of 1974 graduated from Lawndale High School! It is time for another reunion! Reunions cost money and there wasn't any leftover from our 40th - we are starting from zero dollars! Our goal is to raise $3,500 by July 31st. (Update: after getting estimates and doing some calculating, our original goal of $5000 was correct! And we're almost there!)

The reunion will take place September 14th, at the Elks Lodge in Redondo Beach; other information (a Friday and/or Sunday event) to follow. All classes are welcome!

The amount of money raised will determine the type of reunion we will have, so your donation is essential to making our 50th reunion a memorable and fun one!

Every classmate who makes a donation will be recognized as a Cardinal Champion on the LHS Class of 1974 & Friends website. (You may also choose to be anonymous.)

We are also fundraising for an Alumni Scholarship Fund for college bound students at our beloved alma mater. Launching the ASF the year of our 50th reunion makes our celebration even more special! Our hope is all classes, from 1962 to the 2020s, will participate in the ASF through donations and presenting a check every year to a graduating Senior.

Since I am 3,000 miles away, the best way for me to support Mary and Merrilee is through fundraising (and maintaining the website). I will be frequently reaching out to you to donate. Fundraising is what I’ve done personally and professionally for 20+ years so I am happy to use that experience to support Mary, Merrilee, and the class of 1974!
