LGBTQ Couple Kicked Out in need of shelter
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We're Dani and Erin. We have been together for over a year now and have gone through quarantine together and more. Dani, aka, KING DVNI, is a musician and TikTok Influencer that has always been open & welcoming to all people and has a special love for all of their supporters. Erin is a Business major and is aspiring to have her own bookkeeping business. We have always been very hardworking and ambitious, but this year has been very difficult for both of us.
Dani's Story: I was kicked out of my school dorm in March 2020, due to COVID-19. Along with this, I lost my job. Erin's family took me in to give me shelter because I had nowhere to go. In April, I had kidney stones that went misdiagnosed many times, leading to the beginning stage of kidney failure. After many hospital visits and 2 surgeries, I managed to get a job, but had to leave after more health complications resulted in another procedure. As many of my TikTok supporters have seen, my car has fallen victim of a hate crime on the day of the 2020 presidential election, leaving my car window completely shattered next to my LGBTQ+ Mickey ears I got from Disney a few years back. I have yet to get my window replaced, so any extra that comes through this fundraiser will most likely aid in getting my window replaced. Thankfully, after everything I've been through health-wise, I am finally recovering well and even have a job interview coming up this Friday. Praying I get this job, I will be able to meet the fundraiser goal a lot faster!
Erin's Story: I came out to my family in December 2019. Since then, my stepfather began to treat me unfairly and worse than he ever had. The verbal, emotional, mental, and sometimes physical abuse has taken a toll on my health. It became worse recently. In July, I contracted E.coli and other bacterial infections that eventually resulted in several trips to the hospital and having a surgical procedure done. The damage the E.coli and bacterial infections caused, led to Gastritis, Esophagitis and hemorrhoids in my colon. With all those compromising my health, I had to withdraw from school on a medical leave and was unable to work since my job deals with food. Because I had to be home recovering for so long, my stepfather was angry that I had to rest for a long time and couldn't work, that he got more verbally, emotionally, and mentally abusive. He would make me feel guilty & horrible for being ill and at times, gaslight and make things unbearable. Due to such abuse for a prolonged amount of time, I now have serious anxiety, to the point where I have anxiety attacks, which I didn't have before. Getting the aid we need, will definitely help to leave the abuse behind and start a new life! I am glad I'm on the road to recovery, but have another procedure coming up. Hopefully, all goes well!
Last night, Erin's parents suddenly decided that they didn't want both of us living in the house anymore. Considering the fact that both of us have been out of a job for a long period of time, neither one of us are prepared to move out. Dani used up all their savings to pay rent while they didn't have a job. Erin used up all her savings to pay for her car.
Erin's parents are expecting us to leave by February 2021. This is such short notice and it will be very hard to have the money to move out on our own. But with help, we can make it out, without ending up homeless. The funds raised will be used to get an apartment and cover the basic necessities, such as food and a bed to sleep in, until Erin is able to work again, so we can financially support ourselves.
We are both extremely thankful for any donation and support. Even a dollar will help! Everyone that shares and donates to our fundraiser will carry a special place in our hearts when we make it out okay. We appreciate everything and wish you the best for the holidays!
