LGBTQ Books for Waltham Public School Libraries

Recently, a handful of citizens in Waltham, MA attempted to remove 2 LGBT+ themed books from the Waltham High School library (more information here). In response, the Waltham High School PTO raised over $1,000 to buy the school library more LGBT+ books. We were inspired by these efforts and would like to do the same for Waltham's Middle and Elementary schools! Please support our LGBTQA+ students and show everyone hate has no home in Waltham. Your donations will go towards purchasing books by and about LGBT+ and queer people for all of Waltham's Middle and Elementary school libraries (8 schools in total).

 

The books will be purchased from a local bookstore, and titles will be selected from the librarians' wish lists. Also, as the stewards of the Little Queer Library, we will be matching the first $500 of donations! Any excess funds raised over the goal will go towards purchasing more books.
