LGBTI Crisis Accommodation

AYLA Inc. is aiming to create, from our understanding, Western Australia's first LGBTI crisis accommodation for individual youth aged between 15 and 24 experiencing hardship and homelessness and are proud to say the City of Cockburn will be the Council rolling out our first site.

The property we have acquired is a prime location, easily accessible for staff and residents in the Cockburn area, close to public transport and local amenities. We intend to have this Centre staffed 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and with your help make this dream a reality.

The unique position of this 5-acre site provides a tranquil space to relax, with a perfect balance of private and communal areas. We want to transform this property into a fresh inspirational space, making the house feel a home, giving our residents a place to forget about the barriers in lives and focus on themselves.

The accommodation centre will house four residents, two single individuals and one couple. AYLA Inc. plans to convert an existing shed into a second couple’s accommodation, with the centre then able to accommodate six residents.

On the land we will create a large sustainable garden full of fruit and vegetables with the produce being taken to our Low-Cost Food Centre to be distributed in our emergency food hampers and used in our Not for Profit Cafe.

This is a huge goal that the team at AYLA Inc. are trying to achieve and need your help and support for the necessary funds to complete the renovations at the premises.
