I am creating this fundraiser for anyone who would like to contribute as a gift for my 50th birthday. Since the Trump administration and the devastating cuts to USAID and PEPFAR I have been introduced, via Simon Collins, to a number of LGBT+ individuals, groups, and communities in three African countries. All are struggling , many in fear for their lives and at risk of violence. Access to basic needs, including food, is limited. Supplies of HIV medicines, for treatment and for PrEP, are threatened. Condoms and lubricants are also desperately needed. Many are sheltering others and caring for them as they've nowhere else to go. Anything you can donate will be distributed through these networks to help support people at the terrible time. Like many of us, I am lucky in that I have all that I need in my life and more, and I can think of no better way to acknowledge my half century than being able to distribute funds in this way, thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
