Baja Church Restoration Mission

Hi my name is Pamela Walton. I am starting this "gofundme"  account for a small church in Baja California.

My husband and I started to build a home in the town of Bahia De Los Angeles about 6 years ago. While we were building our house I would ponder why I was in such a remote place and what Gods plans were for me. It seemed to beautiful a place to just absorb and not give back in some way.
Over a period of time I found out there was a small parish in town so I decided to go one Sunday. When I walked into the church I knew immediatly where I could help. The roof of the church was never finished. There is water damage to all the pews and stains down all the walls. The rain water leaks in from every area of the unfinished roof.

The original structure is very solid. The walls are made of block and the beams are steel. They coverd the roof with only partical board so it has warped and split all over. At this time several panels have fallen in!! It is very dangerous for the community.What we need to do is cover or replace the existing partical board with sheets of corrugated metal. It looks like terra cotta tile.

We have a very competent and trust worthy contractor to do the job. He is the one who  built our house so we know his work well. He also lives in the town, as well as having a home in Ensenada,where all the supplies will come from.
