Lexx's Gender-Affirming Surgery

Hi everyone!

My name is Tania, and I'm writing today on behalf of my partner, Lexx Ambrose.

After a long 4 years on more than one waitlist, Lexx has FINALLY received the magical news they've been waiting for - they have a top surgery date!!!! And MUCH to our surprise, it's in TWO WEEKS! AH! In saying that, I'm writing this today with some urgency - as we were not expecting this news and it's happening very soon, and we are scrambling to get our ducks in a row!

For those that don't know, trans healthcare is EXTREMELY inaccessible and expensive. Some of the costs are covered by MCP, but there's SO much that isn't. For this reason, we're asking for your help!!

As a queer, trans-agender human being, this surgery means so much for Lexx. Navigating not only trans healthcare but life IN GENERAL as a trans person is hard, exhausting, and sometimes downright terrifying. This surgery is important. It's identity-affirming. It's life-saving. And Lexx deserves this. Lexx deserves to wake up every morning and feel at home in their body. They deserve to feel euphoric in their identity. And they deserve to experience all of the warmth and goodness and joy that comes with what this surgery is going to provide. Everyone does.

This reality is SO close for them. I'm hoping we can make this journey even easier for them with this fundraiser. Thank you for reading, donating, sharing - everything. It means so much.
