Lexi's Recovery

Lexi loves to worship God and she was filled with the Holy Spirit at 4 years old! She loves to sing in her daddy's church No Fear Bible Church. However, on April 21, 2017, Lexi started to cry at night when she was unable to walk. We brought her to the emergency room, then took an ambulance to Texas Children's Hospital. She was in severe pain in all of her joints from Post streptococcal reactive arthritis. She was sent home with antibiotics. We were able to get an appointment with a rheumatologist at Texas Children's Hospital on May 3, 2017. She was given steroids and antibiotics and was told she would be walking in 24 hours. A week later on May 10, 2017, we returned for a follow up with her still not being able to walk. She was then admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Amplified Muscoloskeletal Pain Syndrome. This diagnosis requires weeks of intensive physical therapy for her to retrain her nerves that it doesn't hurt to walk. Insurance doesn't cover all of the costs and we have used all of our money that was saved for our church on deductibles, copayments, and medication. Lexi missed three weeks of school and missed all of her friends. We were able to receive a donated wheelchair just in time for her to complete her last two weeks of school! She loves the Lord and has faith in him to heal her. The past 7 weeks has been very difficult and has taken a toll on our family physically, emotionally, and financially. Lexi said that Jesus hasn't healed her yet because he is busy working on a BIG miracle for her to walk again! Please help our family with the burden of these medical costs so that we can continue God's work with No Fear Bible Church! Danny Smothermon was called to do this years ago and we just started and have been attacked! However, we have faith in our Lord to get through this together!
