Hi friends and family,
my sister Lexie was in a terrible boating accident when staying with a friend on vacation in Utah. She was in the water and a boat propeller struck her leg. Being as brave and strong as she is she was able to pull herself out of the water, tourniquet her own leg, and dial 911. Their location was 200 miles away from the hospital by helicopter. When the rescue boat arrived they med flighted her to University of Utah Hospital where she underwent major surgery. As soon as my family got the call from the hospital my mom flew out to be with her when she woke up from surgery. She has a 10 inch laceration on her leg and fractured her femur, knee, and tibia. The surgeons were able to put her leg back together with plates and screws but she will be unable to walk for at least 10 weeks. The doctors also may not clear her to fly home to NH for up to 6 weeks. I am asking for donations to cover hotels, transportation, and food my mom and sister will need in order to stay in Utah after she is discharged from the hospital. ❤️ Lexie is in good spirits right now and is extremely happy to have survived something so traumatic. Thank you for your support.
