Hi, I’m Lexi. I’m not usually someone who asks for help, but life has humbled me a bit these past few weeks.

The week of Christmas, I unexpectedly lost my full-time job. That same week, I also learned I need surgery to have my gallbladder removed (through 2 hospital visits on Christmas). This past year has already been incredibly tumultuous for us, the federal industry I worked in was unstable, and several difficult life circumstances hit all at once, leaving us scrambling to adjust.

With the loss of my job came the loss of my health insurance, and I don’t have the financial means to cover the hospital and physician costs for this surgery. The procedure is scheduled for January 8, 2026, and while I’ve completed and submitted all required financial assistance paperwork, I haven’t received any response from the hospital yet.
