Hi my name is Sally, as a family we never imagined we would be writing something like this.
Our sister Leah's beautiful little girl Lexi May has already faced more than most of us will in a lifetime. She has been diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy , a rare and extremely serious heart condition which makes it difficult for her heart to function. Despite everything Lexi May continues to fight and shows us what pure courage and love is every day.
Following her diagnosis back in late March 2026 she was admitted to Evelina Hospital London to have tests to see if she was eligible for a heart transplant which is the only possible cure.
Despite all our hope and prayers, we have today found out that she is too poorly ,the pressure in her heart and lungs is too great and she is not eligible for a transplant
Right now our focus has shifted from treatments and hospital stays to something more precious bringing them home to the Midlands from Folkestone. We want them as a family to feel safe and to fill their days with comfort, laughter and as many special memories that we can.
We want to surround them with family and make sure Lexi May's days are filled with familiar faces , favourite toys and all the love in the world. Whether it's quiet cuddles, story time or simply being together without machines and hospital walls, these moments will mean everything to us.
We are asking for help to make this possible. The costs of travel, moving and furnishing a new home to create a peaceful and supportive environment are overwhelming , and we want to help them to spend every second they have left on Lexi May and making memories without having financial burden.
Any support whether it be through donations or sharing our story will help give Lexi May the comfort and love she deserves during this heart breaking time.
Thank you for being part of their story and helping us make every moment count.
