Lewis Williams Painting the USA By Bike

lewisartwilliams.com  It was on the eve of my 60th birthday, literally. A question wafted into my brain; Was I where I wanted to be with the pursuit of my art at this point? No, came the answer, hard and fast! So I dived into a new painting, right then and there, and this idea came to me. "RATTLE THE CAGE!" So a year and a half later, we are about to begin the journey with daily painting as I bike my way across the USA.  San Diego, Ca to Bar Harbor, Maine, via the Old Spanish Trail to Santa Fe, NM and then onto the Santa Fe Trail (its Bicentennial Year!) to its beginning in Franklin, Missouri. Then onto Maine from there. The idea of crowd funding was suggested, so here we are! Our GOFUNDME is designed to assist us with art supplies(paint, canvas, brushes etc.), bike supplies (gear, tires, etc...)and gasoline for the support van (approx. 8000 miles, round trip). We will depart from Montrose, Co. February 26 and will arrive March 1, 2021, in San Diego to begin our 5 month paint and bike trip across the USA.  Your support  will fill us with joy as your very kind gift helps defray some of our costs during this epic adventure.
