On the 21st of August this year it will mark five years since our lives changed forever. This was the day we lost our handsome, loving and hardworking Lewis. He meant so much to so many people and he is missed every single day.

For the past five years Lewis has stayed close to us. He has been safe and loved within our family homes which has brought us comfort in ways that are hard to explain. But now the time has come for him to finally be laid to rest in peace. To have a place that is his where we can go and feel close to him and begin to close this part of our journey.

Grief is something that never really leaves. It changes over time and you learn to live alongside it. Some days feel lighter and others can feel just as heavy as the day it all happened. The smallest things can bring it all back in a moment. A memory a song a smell or just a thought. Everyone carries it differently.

So this brings us to why we are asking for help.

We have been given a quote for a simple headstone and we are asking family, friends and anyone who knew Lewis if they would consider donating anything they can.

We understand how hard things are for everyone right now so there is no expectation at all and even sharing this would mean so much to us.

It would mean everything to be able to come together one last time for Lewis and give him the resting place he deserves.

We are hoping to have this done around his fifth anniversary and once he is laid to rest we will share with anyone who wants to know where he is so they can visit him.
