When Hurricane Laura hit, we knew things would be different after, but our family has lost more than we ever thought possible. Prior to receiving the news, I had just texted my Uncle Lyle, “Overall im just blessed, everyone is okay. We can fix/replace the material items and the houses but im glad our family is safe”...

We got unfortunate news that my grandmother (Rosalie Lewis), godmother/aunt (Kim Lewis-Evans), grandfather (John Lewis Sr) uncle and Kim’s husband (Chris Evans), and great Uncle (Clyde Handy) have all passed away due to a Hurricane Laura related incident.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and given support through kind words, condolences, and prayers. My family and I have created memorial funds that will help us to cover the costs of the funerals/burials of our loved ones who have passed on, along with the hospital bills for my grandfather.
