Kind, caring, giving, keenly intelligent
He always greeted you with a smile
Traveler, artist, friend
He always placed your needs ahead of his
Historian of his community
Many have been uplifted by his works
Explorer and artistic interpreter of his beloved community
He captured beautiful images with an unfailing eye
Every day he lived the lyrics;
“Friends shaking hands saying how do you do,
are really saying, I love you.”
Lewis, you are now in skies of blue and clouds of white
Thank you for the selfless companionship you gave to all
Thank you for your wonderful life.
We will remember
