Levi's X-Wing Worlds Travel Fund

Hello there, my name is Levi Schadt. For X-Wing, I'm a local TO, online league TO, regional judge, blogger, streamer, and lover of the game. Personally, I'm an online middle school PE teacher, husband, father of four boys with another baby on the way, and a follower of Jesus Christ.

X-Wing is my only hobby and passion. I started playing in January of 2021 and it's been nonstop excitement since then. Last year I went to Worlds through the generosity of my parents and my best X-Wing friend. This year those opportunities are not available to me. In the interest of clarity, I have already secured my travel accommodations and Worlds ticket. I'm not putting my family in any financial hardship to do this. Being a teacher, we keep a tight budget. You can ask my local guys; I have the smallest collection of everyone. My wife and I found the cheapest way to get to Worlds. Any assistance from generous members of the community would go a long way for my family.

I’m asking for $300 to cover my travel costs. I know it's forward to ask for money but I would appreciate the help. And you can't get help without asking.

I’m staying with my cousins, who live 15 minutes from the venue. A little less than $100 goes to my plane ticket. A little more than $100 goes to the rental car. The rental car will double to visit family in the Chicago area and Michigan. The last $100 is for the convention badge and World Championship ticket. For food, I’m doing the same as last year: buying a loaf of bread, a squeeze bottle of peanut butter, and a squeeze bottle of jelly. Not the healthiest, but it got the job done. At this time, I haven’t signed up for any side events. I can’t get myself to spend any more money than I have to. If we can get the $300 covered, I’ll up it another $100 and sign up for some side events. Or if you want to sponsor a side event for me, that could work too.

I hope you can see how much I care about my family and X-Wing. I would appreciate any help you can give. Balancing family and X-Wing can be hard. I’m hoping this fundraiser can help keep the balance.
