Help Levi the Lion Kick Cancer’s Butt (AGAIN!) & Dream Big!

Levi is a bright, adventurous 13-year-old who’s already faced more than most! Diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, enduring months of chemo and a major leg amputation. Just as he was returning to school and we were ready to celebrate the end of treatment, we received heartbreaking news: the cancer has returned in his lungs. He’s just had major surgery, and more treatment may be needed. We’re fundraising to support his ongoing fight and give Levi the best chance at healing. Continue reading below about Levi’s journey:

Hi Angels,

my name is Chantelle and I’m the proud mum of 13-year-old Levi. The most brave and beautiful boy, who has already faced more in life than most ever will.

Levi is the kind of boy who lights up every room. Quick with a joke, his iconic smile, and a heart that somehow stays wide open, even in the hardest moments. He loves fishing, motorbike riding, his beloved Carlton Football Club, and anything with adventure. Music is his therapy, his outlet, and his joy - whether he’s blasting tunes, playing piano, or curating the perfect song to express how he feels.

In August last year, we received the shocking and heartbreaking news, Levi was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

From diagnosis through to March this year, he underwent intensive chemotherapy, facing round after round with courage, resilience, and that signature positivity that gets all of us through.

In November, he bravely underwent a rotationplasty leg amputation - a complex surgery that removed the cancerous bone while preserving his ability to walk using a prosthetic.

We were preparing to celebrate the end of treatment and a fresh chapter ahead. Levi had just finally started Year 7 and was over the moon to have completed three whole days at school. But just over a week ago, instead of Levi ringing the celebratory remission bell, we received devastating news: Scans revealed 3 new tumours, now in Levi’s lungs.

Levi underwent major lung surgery on Thursday to remove them, and while he’s recovering like the absolute warrior he is, we’ve now been told further treatment may be required. The fight continues.

This GoFundMe has been created to support Levi through this next chapter and to help us make the most of every single moment.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Ongoing medical costs and post-surgery recovery

• Covering basic living expenses / supplementing my income to ensure Levi can have his Mumma with him every step of the way

• Helping Levi complete his bucket list adventures and experiences that bring him joy, courage, and the freedom to just be a kid again
