Hi everyone, I’m sure you all have heard by now that a lot of us lost our businesses in a fire last night at 111 Union Street in Glasgow. It is devastating.
I had just opened Crybaby Hairclub in January and poured my savings into building that space. The studio was special, it was next door to my bestie CJ at Tangible Hairdressing, and if you were lucky enough to see it, you knew just how special it was. In time, there will be a new space, and I hope it can capture the magic of our old studio.
For now I just want to rebuild my kit to get back to working behind the chair. So many salons have reached out to help host us all during this transitional time. Thank you.
Sitting here this morning, I wrote out a spreadsheet of everything I lost. Every tool, every comb and clip. My DSLR, my lenses and all of my digital photography equipment. All of my backbar and products... little mementos and gifts from clients. It feels endless. Sadly my insurance will not cover the contents of the studio, a horrific oversight and mistake on my part. So anything helps as I rebuild.
Donations will be used to replace our kit, tools, products, and supplies and extra money will go towards our future space.
Please share with as many people as you can, I will be posting updates to my instagram account @levicutsmyhair and @crybabyhairclub
Thank you for your kindness,
Levi
