Level Up LA - Year 5!

Thank you for visiting our 2024 Go Fund Me page for Level UP LA (LULA)!

Our mission is to strengthen under-resourced Los Angeles communities by providing support that helps Level UP the primary school educational experience for students.

Level Up LA currently supports Coliseum Street Elementary School, Maple Primary Center and Black Students Achievement Plan (BSAP).

Here's our story:

In 2020, 10 teenagers partnered with Coliseum Street Elementary School, a PreK-5th grade school that had 225 students sprinkled within 10 classes including Special Ed. Because of our generous donors, these teens raised $50,000. During our second year, we raised $80,000 and last year, we raised $100,000.

To date, our team has grown to 100+ students and we have set a new fundraising goal of $120,000!

We work under a Trust Based Philanthropic model which allows teachers and staff to utilize the financial support of Level Up LA to creatively develop curriculum for their students. In addition, students are given school supplies to get them off to a good start at the beginning of the year as well as supplies over the summer to mitigate summer learning loss. With your help, we encourage teachers to think outside the box so their students can have equitable learning experiences to other students who attend well-resourced schools in Los Angeles.

Also……As our motto is: Students Helping Students, Level UP LA teens actively engage and participate in all of LULA’s fundraising and engagement events. Their constant commitment to LULA throughout the year gives them valuable lessons in the business of philanthropy – skills to take with them to college.

Whether it’s $5 towards school supplies, $150 towards sports equipment, books and plants, or $15,000 for Sunshades and Science Labs……any amount will be put to great use!
