Hi friends,
My birthday’s coming up on the 25th, and this year I’m hoping to mark it by taking a big step forward in my DJ journey. It’s been an incredible honor becoming a resident DJ at The Mercury and getting to guest at so many other amazing events in the Seattle scene. Sharing music with this community has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life—and I want to keep pushing my sets further.
Right now, I’m still working with an entry-level controller that only has one working audio channel and two busted buttons. I’ve been making it work with a lot of determination and a couple of workarounds, but it’s really time for a proper upgrade. My goal is to raise funds toward a professional-grade controller—ideally a Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 with a hard case for transport and protection. If the full amount isn’t reached, I’d be happy to put the funds toward a more budget-friendly but still reliable option like the DDJ-GRV6. Either way, every contribution helps me get closer to more stable, higher-quality performances.
If you’ve danced to one of my sets, tuned in online, or just believe in supporting local artists, I’d be so grateful if you could chip in a few dollars or share the campaign. Every little bit helps, and I can’t wait to bring even more powerful, transportive music to the spaces we love.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey.
Much love,
DJ Dataspike
Funding Goals Breakdown:
$1,775 – Full Upgrade:
Covers the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10, a professional-grade controller that would seriously level up my sound and creative options.
$2,216 – FLX10 + Hard Case + Stand:
Ideal setup—top-tier gear plus a heavy-duty case and stand, with all taxes and shipping included. This would fully future-proof my setup for live events.
Any extra funds will go toward backup gear, cables, and other essentials to keep my setup solid and road-ready.
