Je m'appelle Mélanie Sicard et Nathalie est ma chère belle-soeur qui a eu le privilège d'épouser mon merveilleux frère en 2016 après 10 ans de vie commune. Le terme «dans la maladie et la santé » est un terme qu'ils ont tous deux honoré dès le début, lorsque Michel a été amené à l'hôpital en luttant pour sa vie après avoir eu des adhérences abdominales mais Nathalie est restée à ses côtés et s’est occupée de lui. Maintenant, les rôles sont inversés et c’est au tour de Michel d’être là pour elle…

Cet automne, Nathalie a commencé à faire des tests après avoir trouvé des bosses sous le bras et dans son sein. Une biopsie a été faite et on lui a annoncé que la masse était en fait cancéreuse. Depuis, on l’informe qu’il s’agit d’un cancer de stade 3 qui devra être traité par chimiothérapie ainsi que par chirurgie reconstructive. Elle subit encore de nombreux tests pour voir à quel point ce cancer affecte son corps.

Cela signifie de nombreuses visites à l'hôpital pour des rendez-vous, des médicaments (en plus de ses médicaments pour l'épilepsie). Elle aura besoin de s’absenter du travail pour se concentrer sur sa guérison et se battre avec tout ce qu’elle a. Malheureusement, tout cela a un coût et ce coût reposera beaucoup sur les épaules de Michel, qui travaille fort pour faire grandir et connaître son entreprise personnelle.

My name is Mélanie Sicard and Nathalie is my dear sister-in-law who had the privilege to marry my wonderful brother back in 2016 after 10 years of being together. The term through sickness and health is a term that they both honored from the very beginning when Michel was brought to the hospital fighting for his life after having abdominal adhesions. But Nathalie stuck by him. Now, tables are turned and it is Michel’s turn to be there for her in sickness and in health.

This fall, Nathalie started doing tests for lumps found under her arm and breast. A biopsy was done, and she found out that the mass was in fact cancerous. Since then, we have learned that it is a stage 3 cancer that will need to be treated with chemotherapy as well as reconstructive surgery. She is still undergoing many tests to see how much that cancer is affecting her body.

This means many trips to the hospital for appointments, medication (on top of her epilepsy meds). She will need time off work to concentrate on healing and fight with all she’s got. Unfortunately, all of that has a cost and that puts a lot on Michel’s shoulders, who works hard to make his personal business successful but is still in the process of growing that business.
