As everyone knows, Cade has been fighting leukemia for almost three years.

These years have been hard for everyone. We have tried to keep upbeat in all of this, but it has been stressful with the constant trips and time off from work.

Next week, we will be doing Kymraih treatment (genetic stem cell therapy). We will have to be in Portland for 45+ days; I have used all my vacation time to help with this. I cannot take anything out of my 401k; our company does not allow us to use this for emergencies. We cannot be sure that we will be discharged home at the 45-day mark; this will depend on how well Cade does with the treatment and could be longer. With that being said, having to take this time off to be in Portland with Cade as his caregiver will be expensive. During our stay, Cade cannot clean or cook himself; he will be immunocompromised.

I have looked into all the programs I can to see if I could get funding for being a caregiver, but sadly there are none. I hate to reach out and ask for any help; I am only at this junction because I do not need Cade stressed about my taking time off and worrying about household finances, and I want him to focus on getting better and fighting/beating cancer!! Again, I hate to ask anyone to help, but I have nowhere else to go.
