Leukemia and Lymphoma Expenses

Kubo and I were diagnosed with cancer in March. Kubo was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma and I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

I am fortunate enough to have great insurance and support from work, as well as pet insurance which covers most of Kubo's costs. Costs for medical care will be around $7-8k but total out of pocket expenses is expected to run $15k-20k. 

Unfortunately the biggest expenses are miscellaneous  due to the long distances we need to travel long for treatment. Kubo's treatments were 3.5 hours away in Oregon and my treatments are 5.5 hours away in Sacramento. This has incurred vast expenses for fuel and housing. Kubo also required Selena to fly out to care for him for several months and incurred additional travel and housing expenses in Oregon . In addition my brother will be traveling out as a care taker in a few weeks and will stay with me for about two months. A six week rental in Sacramento cost $4600 and additional stays may be necessary depending on recovery.

I am currently anticipating my total out of pocket expenses to approach $20k. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
