Embark on a transformative journey with me, Leucas, a queer and trans person of color navigating the realms of personal growth, financial resilience, and the creation of a safe home to live in that will double as a mobile sanctuary to provide healing arts services from. My journey as a marine biologist turned yogic healing artist turned tiny home builder has taken me to the literal ends of the Earth for Antarctic research and to the darkest corners of my soul many times over for to heed the callings of my heart. Ultimately this has all been a quest for a higher love that can transform our reality on this planet.

This campaign isn't just about me—it's an endeavor to create a ripple effect of positive change, from our broken food systems to the disconnection from our individual hearts. I see a brighter future and I’m devoted to my part in co-creating that with you and with Spirit. About Me:

For over 8 years, I've been a healer and educator of holistic wellness with an emphasis on spiritual philosophies and body based practices. I weave together my diverse backgrounds in biology, activism, and spirituality to create a healing arts practice unlike any other informed by a vast array of modalities that I have direct lineage in or that I have studied and practiced deeply in myself.

Leucas Loves, my healing arts business, was born out of a desire to facilitate spiritual, physical, and mental healing journeys. Yet at the end of 2023, in recognizing the importance of focusing on my own foundational needs, I took a sacred pause to embark on a new chapter—building my own tiny home on wheels, developing my craftsmanship and business skills within the vanlife industry and deepening my studies of the healing arts for my own restoration.

My experiences as a queer and trans person of color shapes the way I walk through this world and because I am the way I am, I have the ability to confidently participate in various activities and communities that most trans people of color would never set foot in. Because of this, I have skills and experiences in a vast array of fields but I can also be a bridge between communities that would normally remain siloed.

I have a long term dream to bring my wide skill set and diverse social network together to create a healing sanctuary on a regenerative farm. This land stewardship will include an off grid tiny home village, vanlife mecca with van conversion workshop, expansive healing arts studio for ceremonies and embodied practices like yoga and conscious dancing, residency programs for others to master various skills and arts and of course a regenerative farm with education and outreach efforts.

Building out a tiny home in my current van is simply one of the first steps in this journey.

The Current Reality:

I've taken on a profound commitment to build a tiny home for myself in a van, immersing myself in the vanlife lifestyle and the van conversion industry. This van I’m building now will double as my home and a mobile healing sanctuary that I can practice from wherever I am. I’m most excited to go on tour with Tender Riots a Queer of Center dance party I have produced that invites dancers to reclaim their bodies, minds and souls and to dance the revolution.

To support this project, I've joined a legitimate van building company in San Diego where I’ve grown my skills in leadership, van conversions and off grid tiny home building that can be transferred over to all my current and future projects. Also, I recently graduated PhDJ a Holistic DJ course whose graduates leave as somatically trained, nervous system educated, highly skilled DJs that use science and ceremony to activate soul restoring dance floors. My first Tender Riots production is scheduled to take place in Oceanside CA on Oct. 19th, 2024.

I’ve already purchased my van one year ago and am halfway through the build and am asking for your help to bring me across the finish line.

The Financial Challenge:

Previously, I poured my heart and soul into Leucas Loves, a platform where I facilitated healing for hundreds of others on their journeys. However, the financial strain led to a pivotal decision—a temporary pause in my business. This pause was not a step backward but a strategic pause to address the foundational tiers of my own well-being that I may have overlooked.

The truth is, my dedication to entrepreneurship within the healing arts has incurred a significant personal cost. The debt accumulated during this pursuit is now a challenge that I am determined to overcome along with focusing on healing my nervous system from the impact this has had. To address this, I took on a full-time role in the van conversion industry, a commitment that not only provides stability but aligns with my vision of building off-grid tiny homes and mastering the art of van conversions.

However, my current paychecks are barely covering the essentials, leaving me with no financial cushion for savings nor for finishing my current van conversion.

Why I Need Your Support:

Ultimately, having a completed van that I can live more comfortably in will allow me to focus on my work as a van builder and a healing artist. My vision is to complete this van that serves not only as my home but also as a mobile healing sanctuary that I can tour in as I produce Tender Riots across the country and provide other forms of healing services like tea ceremonies, yoga, coaching etc.

I know that finishing this van is one of the first steps to my long term goal of eventually investing in land and building a tiny home village, vanlife mecca and healing center on a regenerative farm.
