Letty, Mauro & Mateo really need our help right now.  They would never ask you or set one of these up, so I’m doing it for them. 

I’m pretty confident that anyone who knows these fantastic people, would absolutely jump in to help if they were asked to….so I’m asking you today to help lift Letty, Mauro & Mateo through their current struggles so that they can focus on resting and healing.

Letty has been in the hospital for over two weeks (going on three) after being admitted to the Emergency Department for what originally was thought to be pneumonia.  After further testing, she was transported to ICU because she was actually suffering from a pulmonary embolism. The pulmonary embolism caused problems with her heart, lungs, kidneys and intestines. The doctors are still figuring out what her treatment will be, but they are feeling confident that she can return home soon.  

Letty & Mauro are both extremely hard working self employed artists who currently do not have health insurance.  As many of you know, even WITH health insurance, an unexpected (and long!) hospital stay can quickly drain a family of any savings they may have had.  So what Letty & Mauro need now more than anything, is some financial assistance while they navigate this extremely difficult situation.

The funds will go towards:

-Hospital Bills, Medications, Future Procedures

-Rent, Groceries, Utilities

-Childcare so that Mauro can take the time he needs to focus on work,  take care of Letty, and take care of himself
