Hi everyone! I guess I will try to keep this short. So, Luke was born with a number of genetic mutations and I’ve known since 2013 that Luke was at risk of respiratory failure. Didn’t know exactly how it would happen but it has now become a part of his reality. He requires continuous oxygen support but the vendor that his insurance only dispenses one type of portable concentrator that Luke isn’t old enough to use and their policy doesn’t allow them to deliver the number of tanks that he would require to go to school. Luke loves school! Its the only place he has friends and I want nothing more than for Luke to have as much of a normal life as possible. He cannot breathe through his seizures without his oxygen. He almost had to be intubated for his transport to ICU a couple weeks ago, after turning blue with each of the 23 grand mal seizures he had in an hour while he was at school. To avoid having him go through this suffering again, this portable oxygen concentrator. I have shared much of Luke’s journey on his Facebook page “Life Loving Luke” and his recent complications I shared on my Facebook, if you would like to see into some of what he has endured. I’d like to thank anyone who helps in advance and ask that you pray for Luke’s health to stabilize. This is been hard on his little body and brain and emotionally painful for his loved ones to witness. Updates will be shared publicly on Facebook.
