Let's Support Taylor Yorgason

Donation protected
Taylor Yorgason is from Fort Macleod. She is the daughter of Lonnie and Johnny Yorgason and the grand-daughter of Dorothy Asuchak.  Taylor recently graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (with distinction).  She had plans to help others with counselling therapy.  Then she got sick.

Taylor and her family recently learned she has a cancerous tumor in her liver. Her prognosis is poor.  Ten years ago she had a paraganglioma tumor at age 14.  While completing her final University practicum at the Lander Residential Treatment Center in Claresholm, Taylor went for an MRI.  A tumor on her pancreas was discovered.  She spent a lot of time back and forth in hospitals in Fort Macleod and Calgary. She eventually had a portion of her pancreas removed with the whipple procedure  on July 14th, 2017.  She has lost over 50 pounds.  Her Mom (Lonnie) is off work to care for her.

Taylor will be going to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary for chemotherapy in the next few weeks.  She was told this will hopefully extend her life by a year or two in comparison to the months of life expectancy she was given last week.  As a Mom and friend of the family, this breaks my heart.  I want to help them during this tragic time.  I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through.

Let’s support Taylor.  Funds will help cover travel expenses for treatment.  They will also be used for the family to help Taylor tick things off her bucket list.  She is a wonderful human being with a caring spirit.  She deserves our support.
