Let's save Brody!

I have personally decided to start this Go Fund Me campaign for Devin after reading a Facebook post regarding her cat, Brody. I know Devin as a hard-working, loving and respected law enforcement officer. She is now facing a financial mountain to save her cat's life after he was hit by a car Tuesday morning.
Devin was out for a run and came home to find Brody under her fiancé's truck. He could not stand up and they immediately realized something was wrong. In a complete panic, they rushed him to the emergency vet as she held him the back seat and tried to comfort him. He was clearly in pain, his foot was bleeding - and he licked her as his way of saying thank you and I need you.
Brody had just been hit by a car and the person failed to stop. The emergency vet has determined he has multiple fractures including his pelvis and hip - and he will need surgery on both hips to save his life. They feel he will be okay in the end - but these surgeries are necessary. Estimates are $2800 for the surgery, $200 for anesthesia, plus costs of meds, x-rays and the stay at the vet. I've set a goal to raise $3000 to cover a large portion of these costs.
Devin got Brody four years ago when she herself was going through a difficult time. He's been a constant companion and source of love and comfort to her through many hard times. This story touched my heart because of the bond I share with my dachshund, Max - and all the moments when it was just us at my place - and the comfort it brought me to have him by my side. In an emergency situation last year, friends and family helped provide a way for me to save his life and I'll never forget it. It alleviated a huge burden to take some financial pressure off of a tragic situation. To pay it forward, I want to help Devin save Brody - and I'd be so grateful if you came alongside me to help me do this.
We will keep you updated on his surgery and progress. He is scheduled for surgery on May 13th.
