Let's Play at Kestrel Heights Charter School

Kestrel Heights Charter School kicked off its 25th anniversary year with a ribbon cutting and the official opening of its newly unified kindergarten through eighth grade campus.

The unified campus is the home of the school’s new three-story, 27,000-square-foot elementary school building. The facility includes 18 spacious K-5 classrooms, large dance room, band and AIG rooms, and five administrative, counseling, instructional intervention offices. The addition offers Kestrel Heights the opportunity to welcome more scholars and families that live in the rapidly growing Triangle area.

Now, we invite you to join us as we ensure that Kestrel Heights Charter School has a fun and inclusive outdoor recreation space that will spark imaginations and keep our scholars moving!

We all know how important movement and play are for children! At Kestrel we embrace whole child, Mind Brain Education and that means we prioritize free play and plenty of movement breaks throughout the school day. As we celebrate our 25th year as a Durham charter school, we welcome your partnership and support in making sure Kestrel Scholars can learn and PLAY!
