We are humbly reaching out to you for help for Mathew Delgado. He is 24 yrs old & my parents raised him. He went from walking and talking to wheelchair bound, confused and pain in a matter of weeks. Doctors, not even at Shands can figure out what is wrong. They say he has dystonia and dyskinesia. He gets worse every day. He is now losing his sight and has fallen 8 times in 2 months. He has lost close to 83 lbs in 2 months.
My parents are elderly and we do not have time for fundraisers since he is deteriorating everyday. We are losing him. Their house is not setup for wheelchair and now he has a catheter. Can you help us?
I am sure you know how expensive the things he needs are and insurance is horrible. He still gets up no matter what we say and we are small people. He is 6'1". He is confused now and has some type of movement disorder that even the seatbelt on the wheelchair becomes a challenge. Please help us. Again, we just need help fast,he is getting worse as we speak the pace just keeps getting faster and the process to get him what he needs is needed quickly before he falls and hurts himself.
This is my son who is also a grandson, brother,nephew,cousin and even an uncle. We are trying to come up with all kinds of ways to make things easier for the challenges he is facing. My parents are doing all they can and will continue to do so for Mathew, he is their world. We all love Mathew very much. God knows we appreciate everything everyone has contributed this far. It's a long road and we really need help. We are wanting to make sure he has everything he needs and will get the best care to get his life back. Please keep praying for our family. Visits mean alot to Mathew as well.
