Hi every one, it saddens me to have to realize how real the situation that my very good friend Gerardo Santillan  (Jerry) is currently in. Let me start by going back on the time line. Jerry is a co worker that always inspired me and everyone around him to work hard,  have integrity, and always have a good laugh. Jerry had been working extremely hard everyday for the past years, he was a painter and after he would work valet and bell attendant at a Hotel where I met him. He constantly dealt with high blood pressure, pains on his legs and back but never let us down when it came to work. Living in California raising a family gave him no choice but to push through the sleepless nights the constant body aches, Head aches, and any other challenges that I may not of been aware of. But the thing about Jerry is he ALWAYS had a smile on his face. One day Jerry started feeling back pains worse than usual, pains so intense that he could not do his regular duties he had to rush himself to the emergency room. They did a full diagnostics and a day in the emergency room later he received the news he had cancer ... A cancer tumor had developed on his spine. The news hurt so many of the people that truly cared and continue to care for him it was devastating. The person that needed a brake a breather was just about to go through what I personally think is the hardest thing in his life for him his family and his friends. Jerry had to stop working a started his treatment Chemotherapy. The Great news is the doctors were able to control the tumor and start the shrinking process.He is going to get a bone transplant to eliminate the tumor completely!  Hes been out of work for a few months already, But unfortunately it has gotten to the point where Financially he is struggling. With numerous prescription drugs and  Chemotherapy He needs help. His co pay is 85 and the duration of his surgery is going to be 3 weeks which equals a total of 1,275$  I started the  account with  a goal of 1,000 but I pray we can pass that. Please, I ask that if you can find it in your heart to donate that you do so. Any amount is appreciated even if it is a dollar or two you will be sowing a seed for your own future thanks to your act of kindness.
