Help our Beloved Helene Fight Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

We have made the very vulnerable decision to set up this page to help provide critical financial and medical support to our wild, free, and precious Helene Sandi. A campaign that now makes public a very private illness that Helene and her family have been managing, the weight of which we can only imagine.

Helene is a world-traveling, spiritual guide that has been actively devoting her adult years to learning how to mentor others in increasing and valuing their physical well-being in the midst of adversity through spiritual and holistic practices. She has touched many lives over the years and is now facing an even bigger task: helping others maintain a positive outlook and balanced approach to facing humanity’s worst enemy – cancer – all while continuing to fight her own battle with it. She has a lot to live for and this world is a better place with her in it.

We’ve reached the point where we feel compelled to ask for the support and generosity of others to help Helene continue this fight. Those of you whose lives have been affected by cancer understand the emotional, physical and financial strain cancer puts on a person, as well as their loved ones. Through this campaign, we are hoping you will feel inclined to help alleviate Helene’s financial woes in an effort to bring a modicum of relief to the emotional and physical aspects of this difficult battle.

Helene has generously volunteered to share the details of her journey in her own words:

My name is Helene, and I'm taking one of the most vulnerable steps of my life by asking for your help. As a yoga teacher, spiritual guide, and women's health advocate, I've dedicated my life to wellness and helping others. Now, I find myself in need of support on my own healing journey.

In 2022, I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 genetic breast cancer. I underwent the full spectrum of medical treatments - chemotherapy, double mastectomy with reconstruction, and radiation. These treatments depleted my savings, with significant out-of-pocket costs, including my unreimbursed double mastectomy and reconstruction.

My journey has been one of hope and setbacks. In April 2023, scans showed No Evidence of Disease, but by October, the cancer had spread to my lungs and liver. Following my intuition, I traveled to India seeking healing. Remarkably, by January 2024, scans revealed a miracle - the liver was completely clear, and nearly all spots in the lungs had vanished, except for one shrinking tumor.

This experience taught me profound lessons about the connection between emotional peace and physical healing. However, when I returned to my regular life and its stressors - even making plans to start fresh in Kenya with a promising career helping others - my body told a different story.

In August 2024, routine scans revealed the cancer had returned more aggressively in both lungs and liver. My right lung filled with fluid, requiring drainage - an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. While I'm tolerating my new treatment plan and maintaining holistic protocols at home, my tumor markers continue to rise.

This journey has made one thing crystal clear: stress is my enemy in this fight. The connection between emotional and physical health has never been more evident. To heal, I must prioritize keeping my nervous system regulated and surrounding myself with peace.
