Suona la sveglia. Smanacci sul comodino per spegnerla: è una mattina come tante nell’afosa, deserta Milano d’agosto. Apri gli occhi e il primo pensiero corre alle vacanze imminenti: Riviera Romagnola, relax, famiglia, finalmente.
Poi una notifica su WhatsApp:
“Colazione?”
Il sorriso scatta subito. Perché loro non sono solo colleghi: sono amici veri, quelli che diventano famiglia tra lavoro, serate al pub e momenti che ti restano dentro.
“Andata!”
Casco, moto, via. Ma quella colazione non c’è mai stata.
Un furgone. Un incrocio. E in un attimo, tutto cambia.

Il nostro amico Jack, da quel maledetto 7 agosto, è rimasto tetraplegico e da allora affronta ogni giorno con una forza d’animo straordinaria. Ha affrontato numerose operazioni, mesi di riabilitazione, dolore e incertezze, dieci lunghi mesi trascorsi in ospedale e ora, finalmente, è stato dimesso e si trova in una nuova casa, adattata alle sue esigenze. Un nuovo inizio, pieno di sfide, ma anche di speranza.
Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di aprire questa raccolta fondi, per dargli un supporto concreto nelle spese imminenti che sta affrontando:
• finire di adattare la sua nuova casa
• acquistare un veicolo attrezzato
• coprire le spese mediche e l’assistenza
• garantirgli la migliore qualità di vita
Con questa iniziativa vogliamo aiutarlo a ripartire e ogni contributo, anche simbolico, è un passo verso una nuova normalità. Perché Jacopo non è solo, perché chi lo conosce sa che è un’anima gentile, generosa, un amico vero. E perché vogliamo che senta, ogni giorno, che siamo con lui e, anche se sarà tutto diverso, noi ci saremo, sempre.

The alarm rings. You fumble around your nightstand to turn it off — just another morning in the hot, empty city of Milan in August.
You open your eyes and your first thought is about the upcoming holidays: the Romagna Riviera, relaxation, family — finally.
Then a WhatsApp notification pops up:
“Breakfast?”
You smile instantly. Because they’re not just colleagues — they’re true friends. The kind who become family through work, nights at the pub, and moments that stay with you forever.
“Let’s go!”
Helmet on, hop on the bike, and off you go.
But that breakfast never happened.
A van. An intersection. And in an instant, everything has changed.

Our friend Jack has been quadriplegic since that tragic day — August 7 — and from that moment on, he’s faced each day with extraordinary strength.
He’s undergone multiple surgeries, spent months in rehabilitation, battled pain and uncertainty — ten long months in the hospital. Now, he’s finally been discharged and has moved into a new home adapted to his needs.
It’s a new beginning, full of challenges, but also of hope.
That’s why we decided to launch this fundraiser — to give him real, tangible support as he faces the expenses ahead:
• completing the adjustments to his new home
• purchasing a specially equipped vehicle
• covering medical and caregiving costs
• ensuring the best possible quality of life
With this initiative, we want to help him get back on track — and every contribution, even a small one, is a step toward a new sense of normal.
Because Jacopo is not alone.
Because anyone who knows him knows he’s a kind soul, generous, a true friend.
And because we want him to feel, every single day, that we’re with him — and even if everything will be different, we’ll be there. Always.
