On Saturday, September 28, 2019, a 40-foot fall on Lake Cumberland, near Caney Branch, changed the course of Jeremy Stone's life. Around 5:30 p.m. he and friends were enjoying a day of fun in the sunshine when a misguided step sent Jeremy down the cliff onto the ledge below. He suffered various injuries including head trauma, broken bones, and a spinal cord injury. After spending 12 days in Lexington's UK Neuro ICU and progressing through 4 weeks of intensive Physical and Occupational Therapy at Cardinal Hill Rehab Hospital, Jeremy is beginning to regain his mobility skills. But, there is going to be a very long road ahead for him to navigate both physically and financially.
His Aunts have set up this GoFundMe page to enable those who wish to help Jeremy defray the costs of mounting medical bills to make a donation of their choice. We also welcome prayers and words of encouragement to cheer him on as he continues to regain his strength to GET BACK ON HIS FEET and walk again. https://www.somerset-kentucky.com/news/local_news/man-injured-while-cliff-jumping-near-garland-bend/article_ef4af5b1-b496-5f93-b6bb-8eae21a4bd7d.html
