Air Transport to Boston SCI Specialist

My family and I thank you all SO very much! Without any of you it would of been extremely difficult to make this happen, and with all of you it helped my brother see how many people are rooting for him. Having hope, cheering him on and having faith got him this far - update: my brother was told he won't be able to use anything from c4 down which is parts of the neck, shoulders, sometimes upper part of arms. A few days ago he started lifting and pulling in his entire left arm and reacting to testing with his fingers. He has also been told he is now an ASIA - C ( ASIA - E ) being completely normal with all mobility. He started as an ASIA - A. My trooper :) we will get through this long road. we love all of you thank you again❤️

My brother Ray was in a bad accident. He is only 33 years old. He lives in Nevada all alone with no family. All I know as of now is he was shot in the passenger side of a vehicle. The bullet went through his neck and hit a bone, the bone broke off and hit his spinal cord. After his surgery on August 13th, both surgeons are agreeing he most likely will be paralyzed from the shoulders down. Right now, he has swelling in his spinal cord from the injury as well as spinal shock that last 4-6 weeks until an accurate reflex test cannot be done until all the swelling goes away. He has an incomplete injury which means the cord was not completely damaged (amazing news) He is currently on a ventilator through his trachea. The hospital he is in now does not specialize in this care, his wishes are to eventually be off the ventilator, so he needs Spaulding rehab in Boston where we sent his referral to help him do that.

Our goal hasn't changed for him. He needs to get to Boston where they specialize in getting him off the vent. This is under investigation please share this around, and if anyone in Nevada area has information either reach out to me or Reno, Nevada Police.
