Let's Welcome the New Superintendant

Hello Merriewolders!

As I'm sure you know by now, we have a new Superintendent, Stefan. He is set to move into his new home in the next week or so. However the house is missing lots of items needed to make it a comfortable home. Some items you would expect in any rental and others are just nice to have. The list includes things like door stops, window blinds, a washer/dryer, shower curtains, an office desk and chair, a telephone, light bulbs, etc. The list is long and often not very exciting. The Club has not budgeted for these items and I am hoping that generous members will fund this need in a timely manner.

So I am asking for your help. Rather than donate an old table from your garage that nobody wants, please consider giving cash. The money will not go to Stefan directly. It will be used to purchase items that will stay with the house and belong to the Club. Rest assured, any items that will be part of the "decor" will get input from the decorating committee.

Finally, any money left over will be used to bring the Super's workshop up to speed. The tool racks and shelves are currently pretty bare.

You may think some of these items should be provided by the tenant, Stefan in this case. Let me just remind you that Stefan was living in a tiny house. So filling a vacant 3 bedroom house is not possible with his current belongings. Also, the cash salary of the Superintendent isn't a whole lot. I for one want to make sure our new Super has a comfortable home to live in for years to come. That is why I will be the first one donating.
