Tawana Adams is a beloved mother, daughter and sister. She is a loyal friend and an active member of her church. And for the past 20 years, Tawana has been a cherished caregiver to countless families across south-east Michigan. Helping others has been her life's work, but now Tawana needs our help.

Three weeks ago, at the age of 40, Tawana was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma.  The aggressive nature of her breast cancer will require Tawana to undergo surgery and begin a chemotherapy regimen. Her doctors anticipate a 6 to 8 week recovery period during which she will be unable to work.

Last summer, my two children and I met Tawana for the first time. I was looking for help managing the challenges the coming school year would bring. Within a matter of minutes, we knew she would be a perfect addition to our family. It was with her support, that we made it through a difficult seven months. Therefore, we have created this Go Fund Me campaign to help support Tawana while she is without a source of income.  All funds raised will be used directly for her monthly expenses, groceries and medical bills.
