Hi everyone, I am fundraising for a vital and essential new school in the southern area of Gaza.

The previous school project we supported had to close due to the breaking of the ceasefire by Israel back in March, it became too unsafe. 

The community have come back together to build a school from plastic canvas again.

The ambition is to serve children of various stages with professional teachers. The children in Gaza have been out of school for almost two years. Their education is absolutely vital, as is the sense of order, care and continuity. 

The school will provide a simple meal for children and clean bathrooms.

The school needs stationery, furniture and basic equipment.

The whole team and teacher Mustafa will be hugely grateful for the practical support and encouragement for this wonderful school. Mustafa Abu Taha is a teacher who hosted me and a small group in the area in 2013 to deliver a recreational project for children. I have been corresponding with him regularly and I fundraise with him as a trusted local contact for numerous projects such as water provision, food and emergency cash distribution to families in extreme poverty.
