Let's support Sylvie Maurice and Family
Donation protected
Tonight our prayers have been answered. Sylvie Maurice's brain aneurysm surgery was completed successfully. Our loving, funny, full-of-life family member and friend is continuing to fight her way back to us. For those who may not be aware, at the young age of 42, this mother of two suffered a stroke and brain aneurysm this past Tuesday. Sylvie was quickly air-lifted to Toronto, where she has been in an induced coma ever since. A team of health experts' were able to clamp the aneurysm this evening shortly after it ruptured.
Although the second surgery is considered successful, Sylvie is definitely not out of the woods just yet. She will need to remain in hospital in Toronto for many more weeks under very close observation. The next step in Sylvie's healing journey will be to assess if she has suffered any mobility and/or brain damage. There still remains an incredibly long healing journey ahead for both Sylvie and her family.
This Fundraiser is a small way in which we can support Sylvie in her healing journey. The Funds raised will help Sylvie's children and family travel and stay in Toronto. The emotional and physical support that Sylvie will require will be expensive for her family.
In addition to being able to ensure Sylvie's family do not have any added stress, on top of what is already a stressful time, these funds will be used to help cover some of the expenses and bills Sylvie would incur in the days, weeks and months to come.
Every little bit helps. Let's keep praying for a full recovery, but let's also help ensure Sylvie and her family can be together in this healing journey with the least amount of additional stress.
We are grateful to be surrounded by such thoughtfulness and greatly appreciate every penny and prayer you have made.
Eternally Grateful,
RB
