Do you want to join me in making a difference?
This Pride month of June I want to do something a bit different. I would like to raise awareness and set myself a little challenge. My goal is to raise some cash in aid of BeLonG To Youth Service.
In conjunction with Irish Life health “10 day Pride Challenge” @irishlifehealth I’m going to walk 10000+ steps every day from June 10- 19th and will document my progress on my insta page.
I personally know all too well what it was like to have to hide your true identity and be terrified of coming out. The fear of rejection, bullying, that you might not be excepted by friends and family is just awful.
I wish there was a “Belong to” back then that I could have got support and advice of.
Thankfully there is now and their work is crucial for our LGBTQIA youth and in deed their families.
Any few Euro you can spare will ensure they can continue to provide and grow this very important service. Thanks so much for your help in advance & Happy Pride to you all ️ ❤️️️
More information about BeLonG To Youth Service: Since 2003, we have worked with LGBTI+ young people, between 14 and 23 years, to create a world where they are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences. We also advocate and campaign on behalf of young LGBTI+ people, and offer a specialised LGBTI+ youth service with a focus on mental and sexual health, alongside drug and alcohol support. We respond to the needs of LGBTI+ young people in Ireland and we help them thrive.
