Let's support Melanie's recovery from burnout

Hey there,

For those who haven’t met me, my name is Monica and I’ve been a member at the IAC since 2016.

For nearly a decade, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Melanie and getting to know her as a good friend. I see her working tirelessly behind the scenes to help maintain the IAC, which has served as a beautiful and supportive space for healers and holistic entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. I’ve also come to see the ways in which Melanie is burnt out, always giving to others and rarely taking time for herself.

A while ago, Melanie shared an email briefly updating everyone on her health. If you didn’t see it, here’s what happened: Melanie had a recent health crisis where she collapsed on the subway on the way home from the IAC, was taken away by EMS and hospitalized. It was quite a scare, and while she’s slowly on the mend, I feel that she could use some extra support in implementing her self care right now.

Melanie’s birthday is coming up in November, and I would love to pull together with other members of the IAC to gift her with a “naturopath fund” that she could use to do some functional medicine testing and get on a solid supplement routine to support her health. I know this is something that she probably wouldn’t allot the funds to for herself.

These days an initial visit + follow up with a naturopath can cost anywhere from $300 - $500. I would love to raise some funds so we could gift this to her for her birthday.

So I’m putting out the invitation - let's all chip in to give Melanie the gift of self care. She gives so much to this community and I would love to surprise her by letting her feel our love and support in return!

(Also, I do want to note that there are many members actively supporting the community space in non-financial ways, and that this is seen and appreciated too!) And if you have the means, please consider adding to this little fund :)
