Celebration of life for mama Genica

Hi! We hope you are doing well.

Johnny and I have decided to start this fundraising after we’ve prayed, and we believe you will understand our situation!

I don’t know if you know, but my mom Genica had an emergency surgery on Sunday, 17 July 2022, because the doctors discovered a severe intestinal obstruction on a CT scan.

Unfortunately, during the surgery, the doctors confirmed that mama Genica has cancer and, at this moment, is inoperable as it is metastatic. Because of the obstruction, they had to do a colostomy and place a stoma.

They have taken biopsies of the tumours and are now testing to see what type of cancer it is, and the doctors are looking into the most suitable treatment plan. We are still waiting for the results.

I stay with my mom Genica from early morning until late at night to translate as she doesn’t speak English and to make her feel calm, without panicking when the doctors and nurses come every 4 hours to give her treatment and to talk with her.

Even before she had the surgery, I went with her wherever she needed, but now it's much more than before because I need to be day and night with her for the tests and treatments, which has an impact on my job and is affecting our financial situation. There will be changes we need to make and to figure out our work schedules so we can support mama Genica in the best way possible.

Mama Genica feels well after the surgery and thinks positively, but we have a long way to go. Please continue praying for her, me (and the baby), and my Johnny. Pray for healing, peace and joy in the midst of all this.

We need your prayers and your help from you and your church, both spiritually and financially. We believe in the power of prayer and miracles. Just as God helped us conceive, which is a great miracle for us, we also believe that God can provide for us and heal mama Genica through your prayers and support.
