Let's Support Maddie and her Family

In February 2024, Maddie was diagnosed with Mucosal Melanoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting the mucous membranes. On March 15, 2025, Maddie learned that her cancer is back. As a wife to Shim, a medically retired war veteran, and a mother to two beautiful daughters Samarra and Savannah (1 and 3), this news is devastating.

With intensive treatments, Maddie had to step away from her counseling practice to focus on surviving. This meant putting a pause on their main source of income and stepping away from a practice that gave her a true sense of joy and purpose. Maddie is a living example of how to be vulnerable, strong, and graceful all at once.
