As some of you may know, Lily (12 years old) has been unwell since last year. This has resulted in her needing hospital care for the last few weeks. Finally, after much pain and worry, and many tests and procedures Lily has now been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease- An incurable life long illness which is a scary and overwhelming diagnosis for someone so young.
Tracey, Lily’s Mum, has been by her daughter’s side constantly, needing to take extended time off work to support and care for Lily as they have tried to navigate the medical system.
Tracey, a sole income mum and soldier wouldn’t ever ask for any help but as we as a family discover more about Lily’s diagnosis, we are learning that the next few months and years are going to be tough- Lily will require ongoing specialist appointments, special medicine, and possibly more operations to try and manage what is a lifelong disease.
I want to do anything I can to make sure my little sister-in-law gets the best care, and can get back to feeling good and having fun as a teenager.
So thought I’d share the word- if anyone could spare a few bucks we could all pull together to help out financially so Tracey can be off work/with Lily when she needs it, and help a bit with the ongoing medical expenses ahead.
Cheers, and thanks in advance for anything you can give.
It will make a huge difference!!
